Voting Portal - a process made easy

How to apply for Voter Card:

An efficient and good governance is when complexity in process is removed and the need of middlemen is removed to get the intended result and that too with lightning speed.

Bharat is in celebration mood to celebrate the most important festival of Bharat - Lok Sabha Election - an opportunity for common people to raise above self petty interest, religion, region, caste and select a strong efficient Government which delivers under a strong leadership which nation and world admires for decisive action.

My movement from South to West Bharat made my earlier EPIC obsolete and I needed a new Voter Card with new EPIC.

Earlier getting any Government document was a hassle and needed middlemen to get things done in time. But situation is different now. Few search in internet and ahah, I had all necessary info in hand.

I submitted my my relatives application and for new EPIC and Voter Card siting at home without consulting any middlemen. The best part, within a week, I got my EPIC and card.

Is not it an interesting transformation?

With an efficient portal, Govt has made application submission very easy. Moreover, the portal supports English with local regional language. Use of technology at best.

There are major 4 sections displayed in landing page and very simple to navigate and submit application.

Form 6 - For new registration

Form 6A - New registration for overseas electors

Form 7 - For deletion/objection for inclusion

Form 8 - Shifting/replacement of EPIC etc.

Any delay, if you feel, have provision for escalation by raising concern in 'National Grievance Redressal System to get quick result.

How to find your name is there in electorate:

Lok Shabha Election is ongoing. I saw news or online bites where people are saying after going to polling booth, they came to know their names are not there in electoral roll.

Best way to figure that out and fix it before the voting date appears. Simple way to figure that out is :

1. Go to Voter Service Portal: https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/

2. Search by your EPIC and State

3. If name is enrolled with Electoral List - search result will show page with details like
